Can someone give me the formula for figuring out C CPC (cost per click) for keyword searches?

Cost = the amount paid
Per = the cost is charged for every occurence
Click = a real person (except in Google where bots can cause a charge) has pressed the action key to enter your site from the advertisement.

You set the cost at $0.15 and 10 different (unique clicks from Yahoo!) people click on the add.

10 clicks X $0.15 = $1.15 cost total. The CPC = $0.15

It’s way simple isn’t it? You might be trying to make it too difficult.

I am very new at this whole website thing. I was wanting to start my own website and I’ve heard of websites charging you a monthly fee and a cost per click fee. I’ve read all there is to read on yahoo domain and web hosting and it says nowhere in there about cost per click. But I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and what all the hidden cost were including the cost per click, if they have one?? Any answers will be helpful.

No, it isn’t. I use yahoo domain and web hosting and all I pay is a monthly bill for using their services. The only thing that I know of where you pay per click is the ad’s yahoo and google do.

If I advertise with Yahoo and Google for cost per click, what if one person clicks on the ad like 5 times, will I get charged 5 times or just once? What if they click on the ad every day, do I get charged once a day? Thanks for the input.

In theory you are chared per click, however, in response to advertisre’s fears about click fraud, Google uses IP address, click frequency and click recency to determine if a click is likely to be fruad. if some one clicks on your ad 5 times in 5 minutes, you won’t get charged for all 5. if they click once a day for a few days, you will be, but if they click once a day for weeks Google will flag that as fraud and not charge you. It’s not perfect, and it you suspect it is happening, buy click fruad software.

cost per click is more performance oriented and there shall be many users who will open the website only because seeing the impression again and again can prompt a user to open a site at some different time and this is something which needs to be charged.

There is no right answer to this. Rates will vary based on type of advertiser, target audience (reach and composition), site, placement within site, advertiser’s objective, targeting tactics, how popular the section ads are being placed, how popular the site is, ad size, ad format, and a slew of other stuff.
