I have been running an internet business, and I have always relied on SEO to generate traffic to my site. But I have not made much money, using this method. Recently I read an article about using PPC, and adwords, instead ( http://www.internationalnichemarketing.com ). The article talked about a research tool, which would help identify the perfect niche for PPC targeted advertising. Can anybody tell me if this method is reliable?
PPC/Adwords? You bet it works. pay per click, specifically adwords, can work wonders for your website traffic.
However, you have to know where to start. You can’t plop down a huge budget and expect massive earnings. That’s the fast lane to going broke. For your campaign to be successful, you have to choose good terms and know what prices to pay for your clicks. And it is important to have something on the backend, otherwise you’re paying for traffic that will just walk away and leave you poor.
The key to PPC, and any other traffic method for that matter, is testing. You have to test different campaigns, word use, keywords, and landing pages. If you don’t see results from an adwords campaign within a week or two, then you may want to change the parameters of the campaign (keywords, phrasing, landing page, etc.)
If you don’t know what to do, turn to one of the many great tools out there; most of which can help you properly set up your adwords campaigns.
So, in short, the answer to your question is: Yes, They Are Reliable.
Hope This Helps.
Sean.
P.S. PPC is one of many reliable methods of traffic generation; there are dozens more. In fact, I have listed many of them on my website if you are interested in finding out more.

Although my site is live, it is as yet unfinished…a few days to finish next week. I have heard of SEO, but unless it is easy, I just don’t have time. Can you put them in manually, and what is the latest with Adwords? Anyone help please?
SEO is not easy. If it was everyone would rank for all their terms. You need to research and see what keywords people would use to find your site and then optimize those pages. You also need to work on backlinks. It takes a lot of work. It is not a simple thing to do.
Adwords you pay when someone clicks on your ads. However, if your ads are poorly written, not going to the right pages, or your site isn’t professional looking people will not order.
I see sites every day that are so badly designed that they need to be re-designed.
Can someone give me the formula for figuring out C CPC (cost per click) for keyword searches?
Cost = the amount paid
Per = the cost is charged for every occurence
Click = a real person (except in Google where bots can cause a charge) has pressed the action key to enter your site from the advertisement.
You set the cost at $0.15 and 10 different (unique clicks from Yahoo!) people click on the add.
10 clicks X $0.15 = $1.15 cost total. The CPC = $0.15
It’s way simple isn’t it? You might be trying to make it too difficult.
I was also wondering what if someone came to your website clicked on an ad but didnt have time to look at whatever it was then they came back tomorrow and clicked it again would i get paid for both times or just once?
Also how do you get your page to show up on searchs engines because i used google page creator but i have no idea how to get it to show up on search engines.
The amount per click depends on what the advertisers are prepared to pay. It can be anything from 1c to over a dollar.
If someone clicks an ad but doesn’t have time to look at the advertiser’s site, it may count as an invalid click. Google have a very complex algorithm to tell whether or not a click is valid, and you don’t get paid for any invalid clicks. If the same person went back once it would probably be OK, but they would know if the same person clicked every day.
as for search engines, the main thing is to write lots of good quality original text content. Then, sooner or later you will be picked up by Google. If you can ask someone with an older site to link to you, that would speed up the process. Or you can ask for your site to be added using the form at http://www.google.com/addurl
